Mother Raped On YouTube

Categories: News
  • A video of a mother being gang raped appeared on YouTube in late February 2008. Reportedly, the video is three minutes long, and the victim is seen unconscious during the attack, while her two children are heard screaming, watching their mother being raped repeatedly. The suspects have been arrested, but the video was reportedly seen by hundreds of people before it was taken down by the popular website. The alleged victim criticized YouTube for allowing the "degrading" video to be put online.

On April 1, 2008 Google, YouTube's parent company admitted it's mistake in not removing the video from their site sooner, stating generally inappropriate videos are removed one hour after they are submitted.

Also on April 1, 2008, the alleged victim in the video was arrested for suspicion of having sex with a 14 year-old boy, prompting police to further investigate the prior rape claims she made concerning the video.
