Moses

According to the Bible, Moses was a Jew raised in Egypt by the Pharaoh. After recognizing his heritage, he led the exodus of the Israelites out of Egypt just after ten plagues devastated the land. While traveling through the desert, Moses stopped at Mount Sinai and received the Ten Commandments, rules for the Israelites to live by. The journey through the desert lasted 40 years. Moses died before his people were allowed into the promised land.New Advent: Moses Profile
