Mos Def is an acclaimed Hip-Hop artist, rapper and actor who, along with his solo music and movie career, is also part of the Hip-Hop duo Black Star with Talib Kweli. He was a major force in the late 1990s underground hip hop explosion. Eventually Mos Def turned his attention towards acting in subsequent years as music became a secondary concern for him.
