Darkseid is one of two Bosses in Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe. He is the boss from the DC Universe, while Shao Kahn is the other boss. Darkseid was first introduced in Superman comics, and has since become a super villain in the DC Universe.

At the end of the game, Shang Tsung tries to kill Darkseid by stealing his soul. Darkseid's soul is valuable to Tsung, because of the great power that could be absorbed from it. As Tsung tries to absorb Darkseid's soul, Darkseid counters the attempt and turns Tsung very weak.
