Morris Peterson

  • Morris Peterson is a shooting guard for the New Orleans Hornets of the National Basketball Association. Peterson was drafted by the Toronto Raptors in the first round of the 2001 NBA Draft. He soon became known for his three-point shooting and consistent scoring. On December 28, 2005, Peterson set the record for most games played as a Raptor. He appeared in 371 consecutive games until November 2006.

Despite his popularity in Toronto, the Raptors began a rebuilding process and did not re-sign Peteson when his contract expired in the summer of 2007. Peterson then signed a four-year deal with the Hornets worth $23 million. He has played a role in the Hornets' playoff run after the team earned a #2 seed in the Western Conference Playoffs.
