Morehead State University is a public four-year institution of higher learning. It is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference.
History
In 1887, Morehead was founded as the Morehead Normal School, a private training school for teachers. In 1922, the school became a public school in the state of Kentucky. In 1966, it became a university.Morehead State University: History
