Moonlighting Reviews
The madcap creation of executive producer Glenn Gordon Caron, 'Moonlighting' is an anomaly in television. Not only is it a detective show that is weak on action and long on dialogue, but it is also the only hourlong comedy in prime time -- and one of the most expensive series. -- Joy Horowitz, New York Timeshttp://www.davidandmaddie.com/chemistry-nytimes86.htm
Moonlighting Character Quotes
Maddie: You are calling me a ball of fluff? You? The sissy fighter?
David: What did you call me?
Maddie: Sissy fighter. I wish you could see yourself. Did anyone ever teach you how to throw a real punch? Real men don't punch like that. They put their whole bodies into it. You! You punch with your wrists.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7M3SjWrv4PA&feature=related
David: Can you swim?
Maddie: Isn't the relevant question 'Can you fly?'
David: You have to learn to be more positive.
Maddie: I'm positive I can't do that. I'm positive we're gonna die.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7M3SjWrv4PA&feature=related
Moonlighting Television Series Scene
At a time when most scripts were 60 pages for an hour show, Moonlighting scripts were nearly twice as long because of the series' fast talking main characters. While the dialogue heavy scripts drew the attention of audiences and critics alike, they were also the cause of lengthy production schedules.
