Montell Jordan

Montell Jordan is an African-American R&B musician originally from California, United States. Jordan enjoyed his primary success during the mid 1990s following the release of his debut album This is How We Do It released in 1995. In August of 2010, Jordan will be co-hosting the International Disc Jockey Trade Association Awards Show and Trade Expo in Atlanta, Georgia along with Soul singer Angie Stone. Montell Jordan got his start in the music industry by singing in choirs at his church and local talent shows. He went on to attend Pepperdine University and graduated with a degree in Communications. Seven years later, he finally secured a record deal with Def Jam. Jordan's first single This is How We Do It, a party anthem about the West Coast nightlife, was the biggest single of the year. Jordan's sophomore album More was fairly successful. It featured the single Falling and went gold. Following this effort, Jordan went on to release four more albums, but none of them matched the popularity of his first record.
