Dreamworks' 3D animation film Monsters vs. Aliens has secured a 90-second Super Bowl XLIII commercial that will air on February 1, 2009. At an estimated $3 million per 30 seconds, it is said to be the largest and most expensive 3D commercial ever.

The Glasses
Pepsi and American Paper Optics are providing 125 million pairs of 3D glasses needed in order to watch the commercial. The glasses are completely free and can be picked up at any local large retailer. Intel and Sobe Lifewater have supplied additional funds for the mass distribution of the glasses. -
The Movie
Monsters vs. Aliens is a 3D computer animated film produced by the successful Dreamworks Animation studio. Scheduled for a March 27, 2009 release date, it features the voice of Reese Witherspoon as Susan Murphy who morphs into a 50-foot tall giant after beings struck by a meteor. The government decides to quarantine her with other captured monsters and space creatures to keep the American people safe.
