About the Game
Monster Hunter 3 is the third title in the series to be released for home consoles in North America. Originally intended for the PS3, it was later made into a Nintendo Wii exclusive.The basic premise behind the series is to play as a monster hunter who, through the completion of quests, can upgrade his weapons and armor. Many of these quests involve hunting down a variety of monsters. Sometimes this means slaying the beast and gathering different body parts; other times it means weakening and then capturing his prey with a trap.
With Monster Hunter 3, developer Capcom intends to "return to basics" by re-evaluating the series from the ground up.The basic gameplay will remain the same, but some elements have been updated or improved upon. The game now features expanded AI and the monsters move around freely, meaning there are fewer scripted events. The game features two multiplayer options: offline co-op for up to two players and online co-op for up to four players.
