Old World monkeys are native to Africa and Asia. Their scientific subfamily name is Cercopithecinae. They have narrow noses, eight premolars, and nonprehensile tails.

New World monkeys are native to Central and South America. Their scientific subfamily name is Platyrrhini. They have flat noses, twelve premolars, and prehensile tails.
