In a report released by the U.S. Department of Justice on July 28, 2008, Goodling is reported to have violated federal law and Justice Department policy by favoring job applicants who were Republicans and conservative.The New York Times: Gonzales Aides Broke Laws in Hiring, Report Concludes (July 28, 2008) The report does not say if Goodling will face criminal charges.
