Molly Malaney was one of the final-two contestants on the thirteenth season of the reality series The Bachelor. Bachelor Jason Mesnick rejected Malaney on the last episode of the program. After the taping of the show, Mesnick broke up with his first choice (Rycroft) and reunited with Malaney.
In late April of 2009, reports surfaced from US Weekly that the couple were broken up. Molly Malaney denied those reports, as she had just flown out to see him. AirTran is giving her free flights to go back and forth from her home in Michigan to see Mesnick in Washington state.reality blurred: Molly and Jason Still Dating... (April 21, 2009)
The Pinkie Ring Theory
Earlier spoiler reports indicated that the winner of the Bachelor wore a pinkie ring during the proposal. Melissa wore a pinkie ring on her left hand throughout the series, so it has been assumed that she was the one who was chosen. In the finale preview, Molly is seen wearing a pinkie ring on her right hand. The original video shows the ring is actually on the right hand, not the left, and may actually indicate that it was Molly Malaney and not Melissa Rycroft who was chosen.Examiner.com: ...Read My Pinkie Ring Theory...
