Mohammed Gulzar

Mohammed Gulzar was one of the eight terror suspects on trial for the August 2006 plot to blow up passenger jets en route from London Heathrow Airport to the U.S.. Although considered one of the top conspirators on trial, along with alleged ringleaders Ahmed Abdullah Ali and Assad Sarwar, Gulzar was found not guilty on all counts on September 8, 2008.

The Plot

The men were accused of planning to explode homemade bombs aboard at least seven airplanes en route from the United Kingdom to the U.S. and Canada. The devices they had allegedly intended to use would have been fabricated from easily accessible items such as hydrogen peroxide, camera parts and soft drinks.
