  • Mogwai is a post-rock band formed in Scotland in 1995. Their compositional style and use of guitar effects and often garners comparisons to sub-genres such as math rock, art rock, and shoegaze. But their general lack of lyrics and focus upon creating immense-sounding guitar and bass-driven arrangements are most similar to the post-rock style.
  • The Beef? Mogwai's Got It

Mogwai has often been openly critical about other artists, including one-off digs against Annie Lennox, Test Icicles, and James Blunt. They also had a long-standing feud with Blur, going so far as to print t-shirts that read, "blur: are shite".
