Plot Summary

The story line for Moby Dick follows the adventures of one of the main characters, Ishmael, as he explores the oceans as a whaler. During the course of the novel, it is revealed that the captain of the ship, Ahab, has a score to settle with the giant whale, Moby Dick. Ahab's ambition to find the whale and bring it to justice causes concern and arouses emotions among the crew. In the end the whale destroys the Pequod and all of her crew, save Ishmael.
