The Major League Baseball All-Star Game is an annual baseball game between players from both the American League and the National League. Fans vote for the starters, while the rest of the squad is selected by players and managers. The game is played in July and serves as the season's halfway mark. Since 2003, the game has also decided which league will have home-field advantage in the World Series at the end of the season.

The 2010 MLB All-Star Game was played on July 14, 2010 in Anaheim, California. The game remained at 1-0 with the American League out in front until the seventh inning when Brian McCann of the Atlanta Braves hit a three run double to give the National League the lead. The 2008 MLB All-Star Game was the 79th installment of the exhibition. The game was held at Yankee Stadium on July 15. The game was held at Yankee Stadium due to the fact that the New York Yankees will be moving to a new stadium for the 2009 season, making 2008 the final year for games at the original park. 2008 was the fourth MLB All-Star Game held at Yankee Stadium.
