  • MLB 2K8 is a baseball simulation video game licensed by Major League Baseball. It is available for most of the current and next-generation consoles. The game features players from the 2008 Major League Baseball season, as well as several teams in the minor leagues. New York Mets infielder Jose Reyes is the featured player on the cover. Jon Miller and Joe Morgan are the main commentators in the game. The game received mixed reviews from video game critics, with the Xbox 360 version earning the most praise.

  • Gameplay:

    Among the new features is a pitching system where the type of pitch is determined by the move of the analog stick. While batting, the analog stick also determines what type of swing a batter performs (chopper, blooper, bunt, etc.). Most of the infield animation, including double plays, have been altered.

  • Online features

    Only the Xbox 360 version of the game has downloadable content. Among the new features available are minor league stadiums and signature style animations. The new content also changes the base-running A.I. The latest update, available in April, had three notable minor league stadiums: Durham Bulls Athletic Park, Hadlock Field and Legends Field (now known as George M. Steinbrenner Field). Also, each team received one new uniform style.
