1918: Mitsubishi debuts their first truck, the T1.
1921: Production of the Model A stops.
1924: Mitsubishi provides Tokyo with water sprinkling trucks and dump trucks for street maintenance.c
1931: Mitsubishi debuts Japan's first diesel engine, the 450AD, a direct injection unit.
1932: Mitsubishi debuts the first bus, the B46.
1934: The PX33, 4WD passenger car debuts.
1935: The BD43 diesel bus debuts.
1936: The ED45 diesel-powered truck debuts.c
1946: The Mizushima, a small and economical three-wheel cargo carrier, debuts along with the company's first scooter, the SIlver Pigeon.
1947: The MB46 electric bus debuts.

1962: The Minica, the company's first micro-compact four-seater, and the Colt 600 family car debut.

1965: The Colt 800 debuts.
1969: The Colt Galant sedan debuts.c
1970: The Motor Vehicle Division of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. becomes independent under Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC).
1972: A Galant 16GLS wins the 7th Southern Cross Rally.
1973: The Lancer series debuts.
1979: The Colt 1400 GLX wins Japan's Motor Fan magazine's "Car of the Year" award.c
1982: The Pajero debuts.
1984: MMC becomes the official vehicle supplier of the Olympics in Sarajevo.
1987: MMC becomes the official vehicle supplier of Universiade Games in Zagreb.c
1988: MMC goes public with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries reducing their shares to 25 percent and Chrysler increasing their shares to 20 percent.
1990: The Diamante debuts.
1992: Chrysler decreases their shares to under three percent.
1996: The Challenger and Legnum debut.c
2000: MMC concludes their partnership contract with DaimlerChrysler.
2001: The Airtrek debuts.
2002: Mitsubishi announces their plan to develop new engines with DaimlerChrysler and Hyundai Motor.
2003: The Grandis debuts and the year ends with a record high net profit for fiscal year 2002.c
