Mitchell Brokob

  • On May 11, 2009, Mitchell Brokob of western New York was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison on child pornography charges. Brokob was already serving 25 years to life in prison for the kidnapping and sexually assault of a 12-year-old girl in North Tonawanda, New York, in March of 2008.   • The Investigation

    According to reports, the 12-year-old girl Mitchell Brokob was accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting managed to escape from the abandoned home where she was being held by climbing out of a window. A subsequent investigation involved authorities asking area residents for DNA samples. Brokob's sample matched that of the abductor, and he was taken into custody and later convicted in connection with the attack.
