Made up primarily of students from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the MIT Blackjack Team attempted to beat casino blackjack games worldwide through an assortment of strategies including card counting and shuffle tracking.
The team was formed in 1979 and was the inspiration for New York Times bestseller Bringing Down the House. The book was adapted into the 2008 film 21.
