  • Misty May-Treanor injured her ankle on October 3, 2008. Her injury happened while practicing for the upcoming show with her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy. She was taken to Cedars Sinai hospital for treatment. Doctors reevaluated her injury on Monday October 6, 2008. Later that day, Treanor came out on the live show on crutches with a cast on one leg and announced that she was unable to put any pressure on her ankle after her injury. It turns out that she ruptured her achilles tendon and will be unable to continue with the show. The day after the show Treanor had a successful surgery to repair the injury.SF Gate: [1]
