Missy Higgins resided with her parents and her sister in Melbourne, where she nurtured her love for music. Her sister Nadia was instrumental in helping her to be discovered, because she submitted her song to a local radio competition. Originally, famous Australian Singer Missy Higgins was discovered in 2001, when the Melbourne high-school student's song won a contest. This Triple J competition changed her life, since it was the beginning of her fame.
