• Mission Impossible III (aka MI3) is the third installment of the Mission: Impossible film series which are based on the Mission: Impossible television show. The film stars Tom Cruise, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Michelle Monaghan and Ving Rhames, and was directed by Alias creator and Lost executive producer J.J. Abrams.

  In Mission Impossible III, super-spy Ethan Hunt (played by Tom Cruise) is called back into action after his protege, Lindsey Farris (played by Keri Russell) is kidnapped. Hunt discovers through Farris that a man Owen Davian (played by Philip Seymour Hoffman) is attempting to acquire a dangerous weapon known only as "The Rabbit's Foot." He then assembles an elite team to thwart Damian's plans, but things go awry when Hunt suspects a mole in his agency, and his fiance (played by Michelle Monaghan) gets kidnapped.

  MI3 was written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and J.J. Abrams, produced by Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner and released by Paramount Pictures.
