Mischa Barton is an American actress and model who portrayed the role of Marissa Cooper on the FOX television series The O.C.

Barton was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold, or 5150 hold, at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, on July 18, 2009.
