  The estate is home to a 75 acre organic vineyard. The location has been described as remote and private. Security guards are on duty at the gates to the property.

  The fields and forests of the Miraval Estates are prime hunting grounds for boar hunters, who claim that hunting keeps the boar population down and prevents them from trampling the vineyard

  On July 24, 2008, two camouflaged paparazzi, Luc Goursolas and Marianne Saint-Arroman,MSNBC.com: Paparazzi, guards fight at Jolie chateau (July 25, 2008) were intercepted by Pitt and Jolie's security detail. As Goursolas was being forced off the property, he reportedly began fighting with the bodyguards.
