Miranda Otto

Miranda Otto is an Australian actress who starred as Eowyn in two of the three Lord of the Rings films.

Miranda Otto was born in Brisbane, Australia and is the daughter of actors Barry Otto and Linsday Otto. He parents separated whens he was sixteen.

She went on to study acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Syndey and began working in films right away. She received critical praise for her work but only received major international attention once she began starring Hollywood films like The Thin Red Line and What Lies Beneath. Her biggest blockbuster appearance to date has been in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings films.
