Miranda Cosgrove

Miranda Cosgrove is an American actress and singer, best noted for her roles in the Nickelodeon television programs Drake & Josh and iCarly.

Cosgrove was born on May 14, 1993, in Los Angeles, California. When she was 3-years-old, Cosgrove was discovered by a talent agent, singing and dancing at a table in a local restaurant, Taste of L.A. She made her first television appearance as 5-year-old Lana Lang on the pilot episode of Smallville, in 2001. Before filming wrapped on School of Rock, Cosgrove landed the role of little sister, Megan Parker, on the Nickelodeon television series, Drake & Josh. As Carly's father is in the Navy, she lives with her older brother, Spencer, in a Seattle loft. Regarding her career and studies: "It's kind of hard. I have a regular tutor who is always on the set and I am home-schooled. When you do a TV series, there's a new episode each week unlike in a movie where you are given the entire script. So it's kind of fun to have that feeling where you don’t really know what comes next with the character you are portraying on the TV show. My ultimate goal is to keep acting.
