Ethics Scandal
On September 10, 2008 it was announced that the Minerals Management Service was involved in an ethics scandal. The employees were a part of the Denver office of the Royalty in Kind program. The report presented to Congress alleges that several former and current MMS employees were involved in accepting gifts from energy companies, "financial self-dealing," cocaine use and sexual misconduct.The New York Times: Misconduct Found at Interior Dept.
