Miller Coors

On October 9, 2007, SABMiller and Molson Coors Brewing Company announced they had signed a letter of intent to form joint venture that would combine the U.S. and Puerto Rico operations of their respective subsidiaries, Miller and Coors. The new venture will be known as Miller Coors. The venture is pending regulatory approval from the federal government, but once it goes through, the resultant company will create the second largest brewing company in the United States.

Beer Run

The largest market share holder the American beer segment is Anheuser-Busch which sells one out every two beers sold in the country. Miller Coors will account for about 30% of the market, narrowing the competition between the giants in the brewing industry.
