  • The two-day Mile High Music Festival is being held at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado, July 19- 19, 2009. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 3.

    The inaugural Mile High Music Festival featured headliners Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Dave Matthews Band as well as local up-and-coming performers.     Originally, the concert was scheduled to be held at City Park in Denver, near the Denver Zoo, but was moved due to opposition from zoo officials. Rocky Mountain News: Denver Zoo's concerns nix music fest at City Park (December 20, 2007)
