Plot Summary
After divorcing her unfaithful husband, Mildred Pierce is determined to give her daughter Vega the best of what life has to offer. Mildred works her way up from a waitress to the owner of a successful restaurant chain and marries a wealthy socialize in order to provide Vega with a bright future. However, Vega resists her mother's love and affection and Mildred must ultimately decide how far she will go to protect her daughter.
