Milanesa is a South American meat dish which consists of a breaded and fried piece of steak, veal, chicken or fish. This comfort food is made by pounding the piece of meat extremely thin, then dipping it in an egg batter, breadcrumbs and then fried in oil, and is served with mashed potatoes. Instead of pounding the meat yourself with a mallet or tenderizer, you can have your butcher flatten the meat for you.
