  • Milan Hejduk is a professional hockey player originally from the Czech Republic. He currently plays for the Colorado Avalanche in the National Hockey League.
  • Early Years

    Hejduk began his career with the HC Pardubice in the Czech Extraliga, or Czech Elite League. In 1994, he was drafted 87th overall in the NHL Draft by the Quebec Nordiques. He continued to play in the Czech Republic for four seasons after the draft, making his NHL debut with the Avalanche in 1998. That same year he played in his first Winter Olympics, bringing home a gold medal.
  • Recent Years

    In 2001, Hejduk helped the Avalanche as they won the Stanley Cup Championships over the New Jersey Devils. The 2002-03 season was Hejduk's statically best of his career. He scored 50 goals and 48 assists in 82 games, earning the Maurice Richard Trophy as the league's goal leader. He also earned the Bud Light Plus/Minus Award, which he shared with Peter Forsberg, that season, finishing with a plus 52 for the year. Hejduk earned his second Olympic medal in 2006, as the Czech Team took home a bronze.
