Miladin Kovacevic is a Serbian basketball player who was recruited to play for Binghamton University. Kovacevic allegedly attacked fellow Binghamton student Bryan Steinhauer on May 4, 2008, after he was seen dancing with one of the Serbian's friends' girlfriends. Bryan Steinhauer made his first public appearance since the incident on April 22, 2009, speaking from Mount Sinai Medical Center. While still recovering, he says his hopes are high. Steinhauer also admitted to not remembering the attack. Kovacevic fled to his home country of Serbia after a Serbian diplomat posted bail for his release.
