Wilks signed as a free agent with the Atlanta Hawks. He played 15 games with the team before he was released. He then signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Wilks has played for several teams throughout his career, including the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers, Seattle SuperSonics, Denver Nuggets and Washington Wizards.
