Mike Wieringo was an Italy-born American comic book artist and writer.
Career
Mike Wieringo's breakthrough came with his work on The Flash with writer Mark Waid. He also worked on Robin before moving to Image Comics. There, Wieringo created a pirate fantasy comic set in an alternate world.
In the final years of his career, he contributed artwork to series for both DC Comics and Marvel, including Adventures of Superman and Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. He also reunited with Waid on the Fantastic Four series from 2002 to 2005.Comic Book DB: Mike Wieringo
Wieringo died at the age of 44 of an aortic dissection.
