Mike Singletary is a retired professional football linebacker and former head coach of the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. Singletary joined the 49ers in 2005 when he became the assistant head coach and linebackers coach. Singletary was born on October 9, 1958, in Houston, Texas. During his playing days he stood 6'0" tall and weighed 230 lbs.
