On October 29, 2008, news agencies reported that San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Singletary dropped his pants during a halftime speech to illustrate how the team was getting their "tails" whipped during their game on October 26, 2008. The Niners trailed the Seattle Seahawks 20-3 at halftime.
