Mike Myers is a Canadian actor who began his comedic acting career as a cast member on the sketch comedy show, Saturday Night Live. Some of his notable characters on the show were Wayne Campbell from Wayne's World; Linda Richman from Coffee Talk; "Dieter" from Sprockets; Stuart Rankin, the owner of a Scottish store; and Simon, the little boy in the tub who likes to do drawings.
After his stint on Saturday Night Live, Myers went on to launch a successful film career. In 1992, he made a full-length version of Wayne's World which spawned a sequel in 1993. Also in 1993, Myers shot So I Married an Axe Murderer and played multiple characters.
Mike Myers' Career
In 1997, Myers kicked off the Austin Powers franchise, and took on the roles of both Austin and Dr Evil. The sequels to the film, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and Austin Powers in Goldmember were released in 1999 and 2002, respectively. A fourth Austin Powers film is reportedly in development.
