Mike Lieberthal

Mike Lieberthal played catcher for the Philadelphia Phillies from 1994 to 2006. In 2007, he played one season as a backup catcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers before retiring after a 14-year career in the major leagues.

Retirement

In 2008, Lieberthal decided to retire from baseball. Since he had spent 13 years playing for Philadelphia, he signed a one-day contract in order to officially retire as a member of the Phillies.CBS: Mike Lieberthal Retires As A Phillie (June 2, 2008)
