Mike Komisarek is a professional ice hockey player with the National Hockey League's Toronto Maple Leafs. A hard-hitting, rough defenseman who rarely plays on the offense, Komisarek played 123 NHL games before scoring his first goal on March 20, 2006. Komisarek was selected seventh overall by the Montreal Canadiens during the first round of the 2001 NHL entry draft. He split the next three seasons between playing for the Canadiens and the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League, playing in the AHL All-Star Game. He became a full time member of the Canadiens roster for the 2005-2006 season.
International Career
Komisarek represented the United States at the 2000 Under 18 World Junior Championships, the 2001 and 2002 World Junior Championships and the 2006 World Championships.
