  • Mike Knuble was drafted 76th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in 1991. He played hockey at the University of Michigan for four years before joining the Red Wings' American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Red Wings, for two seasons.

Knuble jointed the Detroit roster for a solid rookie season in 1997-1998, which found the defending champions again winning the Stanley Cup. During training camp for the 1998-1999 season, Knuble was traded to the New York Rangers, where he played in all 82 regular season games. Near the end of the following season, the Rangers traded Knuble to the Boston Bruins.

  • Top-Liner

During the 2002-2003 season, Knuble played on the Bruins' top line with Joe Thornton and Glen Murray, where he scored 30 goals and assisted on 29 in 75 games. After another solid season with the Bruins, his contract was up and during the off-season, Knuble signed with the Philadelphia Flyers.

After returning to play following the lockout, Knuble was placed on Philadelphia's so-called "deuces wild" line with Simon Gagne and Peter Forsberg. He recorded his best season on this line, scoring 65 points in 2005-2006.
