• Writer, director and animator Mike Judge created the beloved animated duo Beavis and Butthead, the long-running Fox series King of the Hill and the film comedies Office Space and Idiocracy. He's also the co-founder and programmer of the touring festival The Animation Show, along with friend Don Hertzfeldt.

  • Animation

    In the early '90s, Judge created a number of popular animated shorts that would inspire his later projects. Comedy Central agreed to air Judge's Milton, which would inspire an Office Space character, and MTV aired the short Frog Baseball, introducing the characters of Beavis and Butthead, on its Liquid Television anthology series.

    The sometimes-controversial Beavis and Butthead series ran on MTV from 1993 to 1997, with the feature film Beavis and Butthead Do America hitting movie screens in 1996. Judge left MTV abruptly in 1997 to start work on King of the Hill, agreeing to allow the network to create a Beavis spinoff series, Daria, to make up for his departure.

    Judge will produce the forthcoming animated series The Goodes, about a family that tries to do the right thing all the time.

  • Live-Action Films

    Judge has directed two live action films. The first, Office Space, grossed only $10.8 million in theaters but became a significant hit on DVD. His follow-up, Idiocracy, received only a limited theatrical release.
