Mike Grier is a professional hockey player from Detroit, Michigan. He currently plays right wing for the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League.

Career Highlights
Prior to his NHL career, Grier attended and played for Boston University. He was drafted 219th overall in the 1993 NHL Draft by the St. Louis Blues, but stayed in school for three years. Still in college, he was traded to the Edmonton Oilers on August 4, 1995. He made his NHL debut with the Oilers the following year, playing in 79 of 82 regular season games plus 12 playoff games. He played a total of six seasons in Edmonton, then was traded to the Washington Capitals on October 7, 2002. Grier played nearly two full seasons with the Capitals before he was traded to the Buffalo Sabres on March 9, 2004. Following the 2004-05 NHL Lockout, Grier played one additional season with the Sabres, then entered free agency. On July 3, 2006, Grier signed as a free agent with the San Jose Sharks to a three year contract. -
