Canadian professional hockey player Mike Fisher plays center for the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League. An aggressive forward with strong defensive skills, Fisher usually plays on the Senators' second line. Fisher is engaged to country music singer Carrie Underwood. The couple confirmed their engagement on December 21, 2009. The wedding date has not yet been decided. NHL Career
Fisher was drafted by the Ottawa Senators as the 44th overall pick during the second round of the 1998 NHL entry draft. He joined the team for the 1999-2000 season, but a knee injury limited his play to 32 games. He played 60 games and earned 19 points the following year and then recorded 24 points in 58 games during the 2001-2002 season.
After returning from the locked out 2004-2005 season, Fisher recorded a minimum of 40 points each year for the next three seasons. Shortly before the beginning of the 2007-2008 season, Fisher signed a five-year $21 million contract extension with the Senators.
