Duncan on Palin's Clothing Budget
Duncan called the media coverage of Palin sexist for reporting on how much of the RNC funds that she spent on clothes after selected as vice presidential candidate. Media reported earlier in the month that Palin had spent $150,000 of committee funds on clothes. Duncan said nobody talks about how much male candidates spend on ties. Howard Dean, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee, said the Democratic committee had not spent any money on the candidate's clothes.Politico: RNC chair: Palin coverage "sexist" (October 27, 2008)
