Mikael Tellqvist is a Swedish professional athlete in the National Hockey League. He is currently a Goaltender with the Buffalo Sabres.

NHL Career
Tellqvist was drafted 70th overall in the 2000 NHL draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs. In 2001, he joined the Leafs' American Hockey League affiliate, the St. John's Maple Leafs. Tellqvist made his NHL debut in 2002 and split his first two seasons between the AHL and the NHL. He played exclusively with the St. John's Maple Leafs during the 2004-05 NHL lockout before returning to Toronto in 2005. On November 28, 2006, Tellqvist was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes. Tellqvist renewed his contract with the Coyotes on February 16, 2007, to stay with the franchise for an additional two years.Timeline
