Midnight Meat Train

Midnight Meat Train is a film based on Clive Barker's short story by the same name, which was orginially published in the surreal horror anthology Books of Blood The story concerns a photographer who's subject matter is gritty real-life images of the city. When a prominent gallery owner encourages the photgrapher to find even darker subject matter for his photographs, he tries to track down a serial murdered who has been committing murders in the subways. When he finds him, he discovers there is much more to the murders than simply one crazed serial murderer.

Plot Synopsis of Source Material

After a series of grizzly murders that take place in the late hours of the night within the New York subway system, a photographer named Leon Kaufman decides to investigate the incidents by riding the subways late at night. One night he finds the elusive subway killer, a silent mysterious man named only Mahogany. He spots the killer skinning and hanging his victims, which appear to be transients and homeless people. When Mahogany spots him, Kaufman must fight for his life. He would soon discover the terrible secret behind the murders.
