• Slip Sliding Away

  PowerPoint is often referred to as persuasion technology, and is popular as a way to convey ideas through a visual medium. The slide aspect is a reference to slide projectors, and has become a favorite tool of teachers and sales people. The idea is to have graphics and/or written text on-screen and assembled in a specific order as part of a presentation. The various versions of the software have allowed the user to time the movement of the PowerPoint file to be synchronized with the presentation being provided, and later in some cases to act as sole presentation package.
